It is a tray style of rack system. The bike tires sit in the smaller stands and the arms clamp down onto the frame allowing it to stay firm to the bike rack.
This rack can be used for a hatchback. It has enough of a base and clearance that allows for you to stick it on the back of your hatch.
This is a used rack. They have a few scuffing on it from normal use. It has some scratches from use. (see pictures for details)
